  The dance shoes are waiting  The rhythm to the beat is on pause My moves, my flow  The open mic The writing to the thoughts  The poems, the plays, the ideas  On pause  The wings were broken Taken away  Discharged Locked in a cage  Trying to escape  But instead I was pouring Pouring onto others  Pouring my energy, my heart, my all  To everyone else  At times I was on empty and I still had to recharge  Recharge to service others To pour onto others To clap, to motivate, to educate, to inspire, to lift To help, to dedicate, to carry, to unpack the truth  All of that while feeling drained Exhausted, sucked into lies  Into stories being told by the antagonist  But went on with the day because my heart was to give, to listen, to understand, to support, to guide That I almost forgot to listen to myself  I forgot how to say no  I forgot how to rest I forgot how to forgive myself  I forgot how to dan...

Let it snow ❄️ Here in my bed  View via the window  It's beautiful  It’s peaceful  It’s surreal  The snow keeps falling  On the streets  On the branches  On the ground  Making little to no sound  I see the wind blowing the snow around  Falling to the east from my view up bound  Keeps falling  Like the way it should  Keeps falling  There are reasons why each season does its job Cold, frozen, chills out there  Snow  Flake by flake  Brings harmony as we watch  The landscape is covered in white  White snowflakes, white snow  Cold but beautiful  Because it’s doing its job  As it should  The snow keeps falling  On the streets  On the branches  On the ground  Making little to no sound  Peace  Harmony  Is how I feel  Because each season  Does its job as it should  I’m at peace  I’m in harmony  With myself  A chap...
